Application:
Gain direct access to the throttle body. Start the engine to begin cleaning.
Spray throttle valve cleaner onto the entire throttle valve area using a spray probe at short intervals of 2-3 seconds at a minimum of 2,000 revolutions.
If the engine cannot maintain the speed when the intake pipe is disconnected or cannot be started, disconnect the connector from the air mass meter with the ignition off. In this case, the stored error must be deleted from the engine control unit after cleaning using a suitable diagnostic device and the air mass meter must be re-learned if necessary.
If a speed fluctuation of more than 1,000 revolutions occurs during use, it is important to shorten the spray intervals. Note that the throttle valve cleaner must not come into contact with the air mass meter or painted components.
If there are stubborn deposits on the throttle valve, in the intake manifold or on the intake valves, the cleaning process can be repeated with a second can. After use, let the engine run for about 20 seconds at a minimum of 2,000 rpm to burn off any residues remaining in the intake system.
